Creating sceneries is a truly exciting job. The idea is concretised in a generally short time period and for those who like me tend to champ at the bit, it is a galvanising component. Then it’s a sort of magic: out of nothing comes an “everything” that captivates, fascinates, surprises. Every time differently. And each project, independently from its size, employs both brain hemispheres equally: the creative-emotional part, involved in interpreting, requires research, theme study and a creativity able to fly high, free from any binding, other than not exceeding the budget. And the rational part, involved instead in the realisation aspect, which demands practicality, a perfect organisation, calibrated on time schedules and modus operandi, studied and optimised down to the last detail given that nothing can be left out and underestimated. Experience has taught me how to outguess the unforeseen and the concreteness for solving it. It is out of this mix of ingredients that are born installations that transform any place in scenes of great visual and emotional impact, loaded of atmosphere and power of suggestion. Simple at times, but always summarisable in a…wow! That’s what I want my intervention to be needed for: to create sceneries able to move, thought for interpreting the theme of an event, the image of a brand, the presentation of a product or even just to create a magical set for a party. They can live for just a night or it might happen to… fall in love with them and decide to prolong the magic.
